Perfectionnement Stage

The Perfectionnement course covers the whole stretch between the Initial certificate and the Advanced Pilot certificate. It is the longest part of a pilot's progression, and the one where flying stops being a series of exercises and becomes a decision you make on your own.

Over 5 days around Digne-les-Bains you will work on active piloting — feeling the wing, controlling pitch and roll, reacting before the wing does — then put it to use in real thermal conditions: reading the air, entering a thermal, centering the core and staying up.

We also take you off the school sites. Arriving at an unfamiliar take-off, judging the day, planning the flight and landing in a field you have never seen is exactly what the Pilot and Advanced Pilot certificates ask of you, and it is what this week prepares you for.

Depending on where you start, the course can be taken more than once: the program is adapted to the certificate you are working towards.
